NZ Post uses Open Door Logistics (ODL) for route optimisation and territory management across its courier business. The change from a hub and spoke approach to ODL optimised routes has enabled us to improve our customer service levels as well as lower our cost to serve. The use of constraints ensures adherence to cold-chain requirements while meeting customer delivery expectations.
We implemented the new routing approach nation-wide in a very short period of time and have found ODL to be very scalable. We're now using ODL Connect to automate the process. In the few occasions we've contacted ODL for advice and support the response has been outstanding.
